Victoza for Weight Loss Redux

Most of you have probably already seen my original post on Victoza. You may even have noticed that I added a forum to the site, with a category specifically dedicated to the topic of Victoza for Weight Loss. This is for a number of reasons; firstly, I don’t think there are too many such fora available right now. More importantly, though, since Mr. Wonderful is full-blown diabetic, and he would like to lose some weight as well, the subject is again cropping up in my household.

Needless to say, I am still leery of the stuff, but many of you seem to be having good experiences with it. Furthermore, Mr. Wonderful does not have the same issues I had with Metformin, and overall seems to be a sturdier subject than myself. I also coming to believe that my experience with Victoza was more of a “straw that broke the camel’s back” incident, rather than something that was caused by Victoza alone. That is to say, I had other issues at the same time, and Victoza was just the ingredient that brought the whole mess crashing down. So now I am wondering if perhaps Victoza might be a good choice for him. We want as many viewpoints as we can gather on the subject, as we feel it is of utmost importance to make a well-informed decision about any new medication. So please, come share your story with us, and with the world!

We’re Moving Again!

Quick Update – Life Might Get in the Way

I just wanted to let y’all know that I will be heading out of town for a seminar, starting this Friday. I’ll be back some time on Tuesday, just in time for Mr. Wonderful’s birthday, and he promises I’ll have a house to come back to. I want to keep sharing deals as I find them, so I WILL do my best to blog “from the road,” but since I will be either driving to/from or in seminars all day during the days, my posts will probably either come first thing or last thing, and they’ll more than likely be brief.

Today & tomorrow I have lots of last-minute things to deal with, including car checkups and me checkups (i.e. doctor appointments ), but I’ll try to sneak in a couple more posties before I leave, too. I hope y’all can excuse me, and, if I have any readers in Atlanta, can y’all tell me which paper generally has the best coupon inserts?

What Should I Do?

So, you’ve probably noticed that I haven’t been posting very often. And as anyone who has been following this blog very long knows, I have health issues. But this time, that’s not all there is to it.

In short, I’ve gotten my health issues down to a dull roar. It’s true that I have much less energy than I once did (and FAR less than when I first started this blog). I also have other things that I’m working on now so that I can make money, as unemployment is bound to run out eventually (even with Obama in office). I have several other things I’m dealing with too (things that, believe it or not, being unemployed has actually helped with; or at least given me the time to deal with). So I’ve been contemplating what the best direction would be to go in with this blog. In fact, I’m wondering if what I’ve been doing has been of any value to you guys at all (hence the reason I’ve been slow these past couple of weeks on things like getting the local coupon insert listing page up).

Alas, I can only come up with so many ideas on my own. what I really need is to hear from you, my readers. I need to know what is going to make this blog most valuable for you. Do you want more local deals? More coupon matchups for stores that aren’t covered (like when I was doing Food Country USA on a regular basis)? Just keep doing what I’ve been doing (SwagBucks updates, occasional freebies and cheapies, coupon codes and weekly insert listings)? More crafty coupon deals? More about the cash back sites I love so much? More about the rewards sites (like SwagBucks and MyPoints) I love to write about?

Or is there something you could use, that you can’t find anyone else covering?

Given that my time and energy are in short supply, I need to hear from you soon, so please respond in the comments, and let me know there’s still someone out there!

Sorry about the down-time the past couple of days! My computer technician (aka Mr. Wonderful) was installing some much-needed upgrades to my home office computer (the one from which I do all my blogging…and just about everything else). I’m back up and running now, though, and at least on my end it wasn’t all bad…it gave me some badly needed time to cook and bake for the upcoming week. My alternative practitioner put me on a very specific diet and several supplements, and it seems they’re working, but the meal-making process is a bit more complex than my old grab-and-go. Now that I’m feeling semi-human again, I hope to get back to blogging the deals on an even more regular basis, starting with today’s Bristol Herald Courier and Knoxville News Sentinel coupon inserts. So keep your eyes peeled for that, and thanks for putting up with my absence!

Just wanted to pop in this morning and wish y’all a happy 4th of July! I made it to the paper boxes this morning, so I’ll also be posting my findings there to the Local Coupon Listings page. A quick update

I apologize for not posting anything over the past few days. My doctor started me on a new drug on Thursday, and I had a rather bad reaction to it. Unfortunately, stopping the drug did not seem to help. Once I’m feeling more normal I’ll be sure to blog about it, even if only to put a cautionary tale out on the web. Hope you’ve all had wonderful weekends, and I hope to be back “with” you soon!
